"Young, Gifted & Black" is a direct inspiration from Donny Hathaway's performance of the song of the same title. The concept is centered around motivating and inspiring young Black America to create the world they wish to see. It also served as a reminder to the life, joy and genius they contribute in spite of being faced with so many social injustices.
